Regular attendance supports a child's learning and social development, so we ask parents to prioritise it wherever possible.
- Planned absences (medical appointments, family travel, etc.) should be communicated to the class teacher or school office in advance.
- For staff, leave requests are submitted and tracked through the school's own leave-application system.
- Repeated or extended unexplained absence may prompt a call from the school to check on the child's wellbeing.
- Illness should be reported promptly, particularly where it may be contagious, so the school can take appropriate precautions for other children.
We understand that young children fall sick or need occasional days off — this policy exists to keep communication clear, not to add pressure.
